- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a six-week-old female infant with one-day history of fever and a 10-day rhinorrhea and cough. She was diagnosed with a decreased oral intake and loose nonbloody stools. The patient was a product of an uncomplicated pregnancy and at caesarean section due to failure to progress. The patient revealed a nontoxic but irritable infant weighing and below normal hemoglobin level, based on the results of her initial assessment.
