- Abstract
The article talks about business risks. According to McKinsey & Co., partnerships in the United States can account for as much as 25% of a firm's revenue. But a variety of studies showed that more than half of all alliances fail even when there is full cooperation between partners. Past studies showed that trust appears to play a critical role in the success of strategic alliances. Formal controls are also critical to the success of collaborations.
