- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the influence of gender stereotype and power differences between men and women on the cycle of demand-withdrawal marital communication. It is inferred that dysfunction in the communication patterns between couples may lead to conflict resulting to dissatisfaction in marital relationships. A brief overview of the communication cycle is provided which appears as wife demand and husband withdrawal.
