- Abstract
The article focuses on the life and works of Alfred A. Strauss, former president and co-founder of the Cove Schools of Wisconsin and Illinois. His pioneering work in educational rehabilitation of the brain-injured child with disturbances in perception and concept formation has made him known internationally. In 1922, he has received his medical degree from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He served as a director of the outpatient department at the university in 1930. In 1933, he served as a visiting professor at the University of Barcelona.
