- Abstract
The article discusses a research study which examined the Physician Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry Do-Not-Resuscitate (DNR) orders and other patient treatment preferences. Results indicated the number of people with POLST forms in the registry and the probabilities for having physician orders for other life-sustaining treatment. Analysis suggests the influence of DNR orders on patient care.
