Agent Orange and Hypertension.
- Authors

- Abstract
This article reports that there is limited but suggestive evidence that Vietnam War veterans who were exposed to Agent Orange and other herbicides may be at an increased risk for developing hypertension. Two studies of Vietnam veterans who handled the materials found a stronger link even after the information was adjusted for common risk factors. A study from the U.S. Institute of Medicine also found limited evidence linking amyloid light chain (AL) amyloidosis to herbicide exposure. The reports are part of a congressionally mandated regular review on health effects from Agent Orange exposure.
