- Abstract
The article describes the case of a 67-year-old man who underwent repair of acute type A aortic dissection. He was presented with aneurysmal dilation of the descending thoracic aorta secondary to chronic dissection. Also discussed are the use of the frozen elephant trunk (FET) technique to cut risks by averting the need for thoracotomy and the use of cerebral oximetry for neurologic monitoring.
