- Authors
Milner, Boris
- Abstract
The author discusses the need for scientific management methods in the Soviet Union. He frames his discussion around the examination of two ideas, he first looks at the specific features of the present stage of development of the socialist economy management system and then asks what necessitates the introduction of scientific management methods? He examines various management practices that he feels the Soviet Union could benefit from such as the utilization of computers and management information systems, systems analysis and mathematical business models and the development of flexible and dynamic organizational structures of management. He suggests cooperation with the United States in research in these fields noting that the different economic structures would provide great insight.
