- Title
Pacing and Learning Styles: Interpretation and Research.
- Authors
Johnsen, Susan
- Abstract
The author discusses her involvement with updating the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC) Model Core Standards in 2010. She focuses on the reasons why the pedagogical concepts of pacing and learning styles were omitted from these standards. Pacing can be so widely interpreted as to provide little useful guidance, and the idea that individuals can be accurately labeled according to learning style is said to be unproven at best.
