- Title
We should cap the health budget and spend more money on housing and food.
- Authors
Howden-Chapman, Philippa
- Abstract
The author supports the notion that the health budget should be limited in order to allocate more money for housing and food in New Zealand. She cites the result of her study on housing, insulation and health which correlates personal health with the environment where patients live. She believes that it is better to invest in retrofitted insulation and social and affordable housing infrastructure rather than invest in hospitals.
