- Abstract
I Carabus scheidleri i is one of the most abundant ground beetle species in temperate oak-hornbeam forests in Hungary. This large forest carabid has brilliant iridescent colors, varying from reddish tones to blue ones due to structural coloration. These photographs illustrate the article "Functional plasticity of carabids can presume better the changes in community composition than taxon-based descriptors" by Zoltán Elek, Jana Ruzicková and Péter Ódor published in I Ecological Applications i . https://doi.org/10.1002/eap.2460.
