- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 18-year-old male hyacinth macaw with bone marrow aspirate. It notes that nucleic acid synthesis is enhanced by vitamin B12 which is found mostly in animal tissues. It mentions that a diagnosis of nutritional deficiency has been supported by clinical signs and response to anemia after dietary supplementation.
