- Abstract
The article reports on the issuance by the U.S. government of its "Screening Framework Guidance for Providers of Synthetic Double-Stranded DNA," which is intended to help gene synthesis companies intercept authorized purchases of genetic components from human or agricultural pathogens. The firms are relieved that standardized hazardous agents guidelines have finally been established but remain wary of automated best-match.
