- Abstract
The article presents a case study of the role of political philosophy in the design of autism policy in Québec. Particular focus is given to legislative discourse during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Details on the influence of the psychodynamic and behaviorist traditions of psychology on autism policy in Québec and in English-speaking Canada are presented. Disability theory and the social model of disability are also discussed.
