- Abstract
The article focuses on privacy issues surrounding the use of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in Australia and the Australian privacy law. Topics discussed include the development of New South Wales Summary Offences Act 1988, High Court case Victoria Park Racing and Recreation Grounds Co Ltd v. Taylor, and the Australia Civil Aviation Safety Regulations 1998 that aimed to regulate UAVs in civil and defense, as well as the Crimes Act 1900 (NSW).
