- Abstract
The article discusses the legal system that regulates the physical education and sports activities in Bulgaria. It refers to the Bulgarian Physical Education and Sports Act (PESA) in 1996 in the Bulgarian Constitution. It reveals that the legal provisions of the sports ACT in Bulgaria covers the type and competence of the sports governance of physical education bodies in the state. It notes that the national policy in the field of sports based on PESA rules are approved by the Council of Ministers (CM) which also provides the necessary funding for the development of physical education and sports across the Bulgarian state.
