Macronutrientes y sobrepeso en población infanto-juvenil.

- Abstract
Introducción: Se apuntan como posibles causas del incremento de la obesidad el aumento de ingesta de alimentos, la falta de ejercicio físico y la distribución entre macronutrientes disbalanceada. Objetivo: Determinar el balance nutricional entre la población infanto-juvenil con normopeso y con sobrepeso. Material y métodos: Se han recogido los carnets alimentarios de 37 menores (5-16 años) de Caudete (Albacete), a los que se les ha pasado un carnet alimentario de siete días y se han evaluado los nutrientes ingeridos con el programa EasyDiet(r). Resultados y discusión: Los niños con sobrepeso tienen como media un consumo energético 27% mayor que los que tienen normopeso, con el perfil de porcentajes de macronutrientes entre los grupos de ZS IMC ≤ 1 (n = 25) y > 1 (n = 12) de: % proteínas 16,9 (2,7)% vs 15,0 (2,3)%; de grasas de 35,4 (6,1)% vs 30,2 (5,2)%; de las cuales saturadas 12,1 (2,4)% vs 11,6 (3,0)%, monoinsaturadas 15,9 (3,4)% vs 13,0 (2,3)% y poliinsaturadas 4,8 (1,5) vs 3,3 (0,7)%; y por último de HC 47,5 (7,1)% vs 52,6 (4,8)%. Conclusión: Hay mayor ingesta del total de macronutrientes entre los menores con sobrepeso u obesidad que en los normo-nutridos, que no es debido a un perfil muy distinto de distribución entre los macronutrientes, parece que incluso su ingesta relativa de grasas sea inferior, sobre todo debido a las mono y poliinsaturadas. Es necesario incrementar el número de encuestas.
