The article presents a paper offering data on knives and armed robbery in Australia. It puts emphasis on the strong presence of knives in the nation. Data show the low firearm usage in armed robbery indicating the effectiveness of justice system's response to crime in the nation. It finds out that there are different types of armed robbery engaged in different for different reasons. It notes the increase of armed robbery increased the use of weapons. This is attributed to the complex nature of firearm availability-intent connection.
