- Title
PROTECTING WINNERS: WHY FRAP 7 BONDS SHOULD INCLUDE ATTORNEY FEES.
- Authors
Belden, Robert M.
- Abstract
The article discusses the reasons why the author believes that bonds issued under Rule 7 of the U.S. Federal Rules of Appellate Procedure (FRAP 7), which are designed to ensure the payment of a party's costs on appeal, should also include attorneys fees. Fee-shifting in American litigation is mentioned, along with U.S. statutes and a split of judicial opinions among various judicial bodies such as the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Third Circuit and the District of Columbia Circuit.
