- Abstract
The article presents a case study of an 80-year-old female who was presented with mild pain in the left leg followed by slight shortness of breath after one month. The patients' clinical examinations which include white blood cell count (WBC), computed tomography (CT) of the chest, and diagnosis of the left leg deep venous thrombosis (DVT) led to the diagnosis of polycythemia rubra vera (PRV). It also discusses PRV as a rare myeloproliferative disorder associated with organ damage and mortality.
