- Title
Politically Contrived Gasoline Shortage.
- Authors
Marxsen, Craig S.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the causes of the worldwide energy crisis. It looks into the book "The Limits to Growth," which has predicted that natural-resource depletion and rising pollution would cause the decline of industrial and agricultural production. It then cites that the running out of resources has caused the rise of gasoline and motor fuel prices. However, it argues that the energy crisis is not caused by pollution but from the political systems that discourage investment in the construction and operation of refineries and synthesizing plants.
