- Abstract
The article presents an autobiography of Janice Hocker Rushing, who passed away in February 19, 2004 at the age of 55. Born on January 3, 2004 and the middle child of a liberal minister's family in North Carolina, Texas, Janice was a child bestowed with an astonishing vocabulary and high inclination to poetry and writing. This was reflected when at the very young age she was able to write her first "book," a series of illustrated essays about each of her family member. Then she received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Right then on, she headed in pursue of her passion, which is writing. In her later years, she wrote "Erotic Mentoring: Women's Transformations in the University," where she not only wrote other women's stories, but also hers.
