- Authors
HEWITT, PAUL G.
- Abstract
The article offers information on the physics behind the formation of rainbows. Topics discussed colorful bow spectrum of colors converge in the mind of the beholder and seen when sun illuminates a region of the sky that's permeated with water drops; mentions the dispersion of light in a prism when a beam of white light encounters the surface of a glass prism, and loses speed and bends from its straightline path; and highlights the bow shape of a rainbow as a consequence of spectral colors.
