The article comments on the importance of the informal science education. The term informal science implies less valuable than structured formal education. Informal science education comes about in various settings from museums to planetariums and recreation centers. John Penick, a former president of National Science Teachers Association, explains the importance of informal science education in helping and motivating students to explore deeply about science and keep up with current science events.
