- Abstract
The article informs that the researchers from the International Center for Tropical Agriculture in Cali, Colombia is working with Dow AgroSciences LLC to develop genetic hybrid varieties of Brachiaria humidicola tropical pasture grass that will help to suppress greenhouse gas emission. The hybrid pasture grass varieties will suppress the microbial activity that will help in reduction of the ammonium compound breakdown from nitrogen fertilizers, thus decreasing release of greenhouse gases.
