- Abstract
Google Scholar Crossref Search ADS PubMed WorldCat 3 Helland J. Aztec imagery in Frida Kahlo's paintings: indigenity and political commitment. Opinion was polarised until a body of evidence emerged to support the pollution haven hypothesis that FDI decreases emissions in high-income countries and increases them in lower-income countries [[6], [8]]. Elsewhere irony is evident; the debutante's dress and lace gloves are out of character since Kahlo usually wore indigenous dress; the only piece visible in this painting being her necklace. Kahlo's painting reveals the dichotomy at that time between the landscapes and cultural and natural histories of the two countries.
