- Abstract
This article aimed to know what the national scientific literature about nursing auditing is about and what its relationship with the quality of health care is. To this end, an integrative literature review was conducted using two databases, revealing that, among the years established, few studies were published about the importance of the nurse as an auditor, resulting in a total of 12 articles of According to the inclusion criteria, which revealed that the subject is still poorly explored. It emerges for failures in nursing records in the context of the audit of medical records, because they present unconcise and incomplete data, in addition, they reflect that the realization of the nursing audit and the qualification and update would facilitate the evaluation of quality of the assistance provided to the client. It is concluded that there is a need for greater exploration on the nursing theme in auditing with a focus on quality of service provided by these professionals, emphasizing the improvement of care.
