- Abstract
The aim of this research was to determine the differential effects of the preventive program Saluda in two age groups: early adolescence and medium adolescence. A sample of 543 high school students was recruited aged between 11 and 16 years. Intergroup analysis of one factor ANOVA test were carried out with Schefée test and effect sizes for significant comparisons. The results indicate that the program is effective to reduce alcohol use, especially among younger students (11 to 13 years), respect to risk perception, program Saluda was effective in two groups. As intention, the immediate impact is higher among younger students, although the long-term magnitude of change is higher among those between 14 and 16 years.
