- Abstract
The article discusses the public relations program in understanding the interdependence of school and community. In order for the program to work, a cooperative effort between the community and the school must first be organized. An understanding of what the community and the school can contribute with each other can be developed. The several example that a community and school can contribute with each other were provided such as the contribution of the school to the welfare of community by providing trained personnel interested on social development and cultural affairs, leadership to service organization and charitable institution and improving the social status of the area while the community supplied the school with able staff members and resources to educational programs.
