- Abstract
The angular distribution of Auger electrons is considered, and the angular distribution anisotropy parameter α[sub 2] for (M[sub 3]→N[sub 2]N[sub 3]),(M[sub 3]→N[sub 3]N[sub 3]),(M[sub 4]→N[sub 1]N[sub 3]),(M[sub 4]→N[sub 4]N[sub 5]),(M[sub 4]→N[sub 5]N[sub 5]), and (M[sub 4, 5 ]→O[sub 2, 3]O[sub 2, 3]) transitions in a xenon atom is calculated. The matrix elements are evaluated by the nonrelativistic Hartree–Fock method with LS coupling, as well as by the relativistic Hartree–Fock method with jj coupling (single-configuration approximation) and intermediate coupling (multiconfiguration approximation). © 2003 MAIK “Nauka / Interperiodica”.
