- Abstract
The article discusses the role of the Low-Profit Limited Liability Company (L3C) hybrid legal form in the growth of America's wind energy infrastructure as of July 2013, focusing on Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, as well as for-profit and not-for-profit business purposes. American corporate and not-for-profit laws are addressed, along with the Michigan Supreme Court case Dodge v. Ford Motor Co. which deals with the fiduciary duties of corporate directors and officers.
