- Abstract
The figure of the employee has been always present subject of the literature. In this work I am focused on two authors who deal with this theme, trying to create a comparison between two employees and two destinies; the figure of Belluca in The train whistled by Pirandello and Gregor Samsa, in The metamorphosis of Kafka. Both of them represent autobiographical elements in their works. Kafka represents the difficult father-son relationship, Pirandello instead suffered a lot, the serious mental health problems of his wife. The common elements are: the trap, the absurd, the job theme, the angle of the story, the position of the institutions, the closure, the illness, the family situation, the monster ect., and today's valence, of them is present, during the hour of Text typology.
