The article presents a study on the search for the radical species trap involved in styrene epoxide (SE)-p-toluenesulfonic acid (TSA) oxidation binary system (BS) with oxygen. The study showed that the addition of α-naphthylamine to the BS(SE+TSA) strong inhibitor being oxidized accelerates instead of suppresses the oxygen absorption. The aniline, an aromatic amine, also accelerates sharply the oxidation of the binary system.
