- Abstract
Objective: The article aims to investigate the current functioning of the Intelligence Centers of the Judiciary, as determined by Resolution No. 349/2020 of the National Council of Justice, especially whether the mechanism for managing and monitoring precedents in repetitive lawsuits in the courts has effectively produced greater efficiency and agility to the judicial system. Method: The study involves the application of qualitative and quantitative methodologies in the investigation of privileged spaces of observation in Courts of Justice classified as medium-sized, such as the Court of Justice of Ceará (TJCE) and Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories (TJDFT) and the observation of the work of groups active in the Intelligence Centers through studies and technical notes. Results: Based on documentary research with data analysis on the portal of the National Council of Justice and on the websites of the Courts that implemented the aforementioned Centers, in addition to the examination of normative acts and national judicial decisions based on previous studies of the intelligence agencies, it is concluded that the Intelligence Centers of the Judiciary emerge as an instrument for simplifying the judicial system, influencing the generation of pre-procedural responses, especially with cooperation and conversation within the Brazilian justice system. Conclusions: It is proposed, consequently, a reflection on the new role of the Magistrate, in the sense of monitoring new demands that impact the judicial service and proposing the improvement of the systems that operate in each Court.
