- Abstract
The article examines presence of Iranians in Indo- Khurasan in the reigns of the Durrani- Afghan rulers Ahmad Shah Durr- i Durran and his son and successor, Timur Shah. Topics discussed include community of Iranian soldiers, administrators, intellectuals, and litterateurs who contributed to the consolidation of Durrani authority; Iranian migration to Indo- Khurasan in the early Durrani period and their association with the Persian language and Shiism.
