- Abstract
The article reports on the refusal of Sabyasachi Bhaumik of the Royal College of Psychiatrists to prescribe psychotropic medication to patients in Great Britain. Bhaumik explains that he was pressured to increase the psychotropic medication given to patients due to the closure of a local hospital. He states that he only prescribed the medication in cases where patient's behaviour was causing a high level of risk to the person concerned or others.
