- Abstract
A study published in the British Journal of Dermatology suggests that breastfeeding may decrease the risk of developing psoriasis in early adulthood. The study analyzed data from a birth cohort study in Sweden and found that individuals who were breastfed for less than 4 months had a higher risk of psoriasis. The study also found that early consumption of fish from the Baltic Sea, which contains toxic chemicals, increased the risk of developing psoriasis. The authors recommend further research on this topic, including larger and more diverse populations, to better understand the relationship between breastfeeding and psoriasis.
