- Abstract
The article presents information about library marketing, and discusses Indian librarian Dr. S.R. Ranganathan's contribution of ideas to the field of library and information science, especially his Five Laws of Library Science. It focuses on marketing tools which can promote the use of information resources, including improving the physical environment and atmospherics in libraries, advertising by means of print, electronics, and word of mouth, and organizing national library days to create awareness and boost interest.
