The article presents a message from the president of the International Society of Nurses in Genetics (ISONG) that elaborates on the contributions of nursing to genetics, epigenetics, genomics and epigenomics. Topics include nurse clinicians translating research findings into clinical reality by utilizing genetic variants to determine appropriate dosing of select medications and better quantify risk of disease development. Also mentioned is how INSONG aiding nurse researchers and clinicians.
