- Abstract
We present a proposal to approach the contents of an Introductory Electricity and Magnetism Laboratory applied to a blind Computer Engineering student who, due to his school trajectory, presented many conceptual difficulties. We set up a research group and developed a pilot project in order to verify the possibility of overcoming his conceptual deficits and moving on to the activities inherent to the Introductory Electricity and Magnetism Laboratory course. Due to the need for social isolation caused by the pandemic COVID-19, all classes had to be remote and all materials produced and delivered to the student's residence had to take this new reality into account. The activities, methods and teaching materials developed exclusively for this project, based on a thorough bibliographic review, proved to be a promising path, allowing this visually impaired student to participate in the main stages of the experimental procedures, as close as possible to the way with that the other students participate, including assembling the circuits, using multimeters, marking points for the construction of graphs and calculating the electrical resistance value through the slope of the raised curve.
