- Abstract
The article presents information on the recent developments in the field of accounting. The department of accounting joined the Alabama Society of CPA's in sponsoring on the campus of the University of Albama, a tax clinic with representation from adjacent states. Executive William Whitney recently addressed the Birmingham, Albama chapter of the Albama Society on "Mutual Educational Responsibilities." Recent appointments to the staff include, Edwin C. Cass and James E. Money. The downtown division of the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma, recently moved into its new air-conditioned quarters, is conducting an experimental class to test new textual materials in common carrier pipe line accounting. The four large pipeline companies having offices in Tulsa have prepared the materials. Speakers at the recent Seventh Annual Accounting Conference, sponsored by the Northwestern University and the Illinois Society, were Samuel A. Sokol on "Income Tax Privileges and Prejudices" and Alexander Eulenberg on "Accounting Aspects of foreign Currency Devaluation."
