- Abstract
The article focuses on ecological impacts of China's Huai River policy concerning free heating for homes and offices. It states that China's heating system was established during the 1950s to 1980s and that budgetary limitations forced the Chinese government to limit the entitlement to the northern Chinese region. It examines air pollution and weather data for total suspended particulate levels as well as sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide concentrations. It comments that econometric models were used to examine air pollution concentrations as a result of the Huai River policy.
