- Title
Functionality specific excipients influencing manufacturability and/or processing of pharmaceutical dosage forms: a wish list.
- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents a list of excipients that may alleviate selected sub-optimal processes and formulations in the manufacturing industry. The list includes excipients that could prevent the adsorption of preservatives or ingredients, excipients which are not prone to auto-oxidation, and excipients that would dissolve suspended active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). Amphiphilic surfactants that could form self-emulsifying drug delivery systems (SEDDS) were also found to have the ability to alleviate manufacturing processes.
