- Title
Revitalizing the Northwestern University Radio Archive Project, Rediscovering Midwestern Radio History.
- Authors

- Abstract
After sitting latent for several decades, the Northwestern University Radio Archive Project (NURAP) is now poised to become a vital research collection. With over 700 discrete program titles on some 10,000 Electrical Transcription discs, the collection—which has never before been mined for scholarly use—provides multiple potential avenues for future research. The NURAP collection has re-emerged at a favorable moment, when institutional support for media archives and academic interest in radio have peaked. Its current custodians are enlivened by the prospect of establishing NURAP as a vibrant research destination for students, scholars, and visitors interested in radio history.
