An essay is presented on the opportunities for contemporary Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) in the field of integrative medicine (IM) as of March 2016. Also cited are the book on AOM theory titled "Huang di Nei Jing Su Wen & Ling Shu," the effectiveness of AOM in the management of such medical conditions as asthma, diabetes, and cancer, and the position of IM pioneer, Doctor Andrew Weil, on health.
