- Abstract
In this study, the rhymed lyric poem named "müsün nesin" which is found in collected poems of Nedim were examined in terms of structuralism after being translated into modern Turkish and being explained. In the resolution made, the sound examination, rhythm, rhyme, sound and word repetitions, consonant and vowels, syntax examination, word, sentence, phrase types and structures were studied under separate headlines and in light of statistical data. Therefore the aim was to probe the relation between the sound value of the lyric poem and its general meaning. In the lyric poem, we see the usage of prosody by means of contributing to the tune and meaning of the poem and the implementation to the local pronunciation without any difficulty. The lyric poem has been built on the redif of "müsün nesin" and this redif has constantly been attracting the emphasis to itself. The excitement, astonishment and the desire of elevating the bellowed have been converted to an elegant manner by means of questioning, and liking the bellowed in a roundabout way and admiration to the bellowed have been expressed in terms of redif. In the lyric poem where the squawks are dominant, 68.04% front vowels, and 31.96% back vowels have been used. Therefore, a melodic harmony has been created with the tone of voice that spreads out to the whole lyric poem. It has been observed that the poet prefers the word selections where the voices are concordantly with the meaning of the poem and that the word selection is attentive. Repetition of some voices at certain intervals and evolving of the sounds to the whole of the lyric poem had strengthened the meaning of the poem as well as the sound of the poem. Having a calling lyric poem from the beginning to the end of the lyric poem and strengthening the callings with the interrogatives in the end of the couplet have provided to have a quick communication with poem and its reader, and to feel the emotion and excitements closer. As a result, it was determined that the group of phones owned by the lyric from beginning until the end are directly related with the meaning of the poem and that the poet intentionally structured the word and meaning balance in his word selection.
