- Abstract
Language is primarily a communication tool. The different functions of language creates different usages of language. Language for daily usage has a function to provide the exchange of information. Literary work isn't written to pass information. Literary language loads function of art. In this article aesthetic elements of language in Yahya Kemal's works have been tried to be examined. Aesthetic elements of the language in Yahya Kemal has been examined under two headings. The first elements of which the aesthetics of Yahya Kemal's language is choice of words and the relationship of these words. Yahya Kemal benefited from connotation facilities and contrast relationship of words. The second element of which the aesthetics of Yahya Kemal's language is music. Music is very important element in the formation of aesthetics of language 'n Yahya Kemal's poems. Musical elements have been examined under three headings. The first of these is repetition. Yahya Kemal gave place to iterations of word, group of word, verse and unit of verse 'n poems. The second element of music in Yahya Kemal's poems is assonance and alliteration. Relationship of sound repetition and content increased aesthetics of Yahya Kemal's language. The third element that provides musical harmony in Yahya Kemal's poems is meter, rhyme and redif. Yahya Kemal said harmonious verses syllabic meter in arrow title poem, with prosody meter in other poems. Yahya Kemal gave importance to rhyme in poems. There is rhyme also in Yahya Kemal's intense emotional poetry. Another factor that ensures the harmony of music in Yahya Kemal's poems is redif. Yahya Kemal used redif that be in case of addition as well as redif that be in case of word.
