Title
The nature of clinical trials in nephrology.
Abstract
The article reflects the opinion of the author on the manner in which cooperative trials might be organized in relation to nephritides. The author addressed glomerulopathies as an example for clinical trials, not because it is a major cause of renal morbidity and mortality, but because the principles given must apply to other types of diseases seen in nephrology. Moreover, the author discusses the history of clinical trials in nephrology to justify his suggestions.
