- Abstract
In this article, the author focuses on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) and discusses efforts taken for students, who have failed the test. He informs that the TAKS is administered to the U.S. No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) and the TAKS has been replaced by the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness test. He mentions that students, who have failed the TAKS test, are required to enroll in adult education and general education development (GED) classes.
