- Abstract
The article focuses on the history of Indian voting rights in Arizona with the voting discrimination against Native Americans in Arizona. It mentions that U.S. Voting Rights Act allows the Native people to participate in state and federal election processes and current challenges faced by Native American voters. It also mentions that voter identification (ID) law passed in 2004 and the invalidation of Section 5 coverage in decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the case Shelby County v. Holder.
